This was taken over a beautiful double reef system in offshore waters (no land in sight) on the way back from the dolphin grounds at White Sand Ridge. The reefs are spectacular and untouched, covered in giant gorgonians and masses of sponges. Caribbean reef sharks, like this one are protected here, so their numbers are healthy.
Sleek by design, this shark was cruising the ocean superhighway, patrolling its territory.
