Beneath the canopy of leaf pads, the light is shaded and the water cool. Thick stalks twist and turn, wrapping themselves around each other, creeping through gaps they find. Unopened lily buds are making their journey upward towards the sun. Underwater, hidden from view at the surface, lily plants transform during their lifecycle, progressing through a rainbow spectrum of colours. I used strobe lighting here to accentuate this seldom-seen perspective.
