Two to Tango. A few days later there’s an alpha amphibian in the pond. The young frog has lost out to a mature, experienced male. Once a female accepts a mate, they dominate the action until she lays her eggs. Mating rituals like this can last for a few weeks. When she senses conditions are favourable for the survival of her spawn, she releases it in a final frenzy of activity.
So as not to disturb the frogs mating behaviour, I used a vintage lens that excels in low light conditions. This enabled me to shoot the scene using available light underwater.
