At the bottom of a pond, a young frog is out of hibernation, first in the water and first in line. Spring is just around the corner. The pond is full of promise and while the water is still cold, there’s a hint of warmth in the air. This year’s mating season is about to start and the youngster eagerly awaits the arrival of a female or two.

To create a dream-like swirl around this hopeful juvenile, I used a small reflection tube screwed on to the front of my underwater housing’s port.
