Winner, British Society of Underwater Photographers (BSoUP) - Focus on People (members only competition). April 2014

Freediver at one with a pod of Atlantic spotted dolphin.

I shot this in bright light conditions with the sun reflecting and bouncing off the water, shape-shifting the sandy bottom. The action was incredibly fast-paced both in front of and behind the lens, yet the image depicts a certain sense of serenity.

Gold on the ceiling!

15mm fisheye lens @ 1/640secs. f/8.0 ISO 200
